This is the cover for the next issue of Makeshift Magazine, due out in November. Frank's band is playing the release party, so if you are in New Zealand you should go!

This is SO incomparably BEAUTIFUL!!!! You are a master artist!! Where did you learn to paint and what kind of paints do you use? I just ask because I want to learn how to paint...

I learned during my time at Savannah College of Art & Design. I learned mostly from my friends there. It's painted pretty flat in gouache. Not so much color blending and all that. I mainly look at old golden books and Disney animation for reference.

Acryla paints are good and cheap and Japanese, it's part acrylic part watercolor, it is a nice gouache. I don't have much left, so other cheap gouaches are ok. Don't add too much water!

Awesome!! Thank you SO much!! I LOVE those old "Little Golden Books!" They're SO CUTE!! Also, which state is the "Savannah College of Art & Design" in, and what is "gouache?"

Its in georgia and gouache is like a watercolor, only you can get it to be a lot flatter.
